Avast have been been update to version avast 5.1 2011, if you have using avast! Free Antivirus, it will works for 30 days after installation in trial mode (or 60 days for avast Home 4.8) and after this period you need to register to get your free avast license key, enter the license key in the program to continue to use it after the trial period and stay protected.

Step by Step Free Avast Registration Key Off-line Method

Off-line registration can useful if avast Free Antivirus 5.x is installed on a computer with no Internet access, or if you experience some other issues with on-line registration. However, you still need access to a computer with an Internet connection to complete the registration web-form on the avast! website and then to receive the license key via e-mail. To perform off-line registration, follow these steps:
  1. Open the avast! Free Antivirus license registration web-form via the following link:

  2. In the web-form, enter all the required data (marked with an asterisk *) into the text fields, and when it’s finished, click ‘Register for free license‘ to submit your registration.Avast Registration KeyAn information message will be displayed after your registration has been processed. You can then close the web browser.
  3. In a few minutes you will receive an avast! registration e-mail containing the license key. Open the avast! registration e-mail, highlight and copy the license key.
  4. Then in the avast! user interface, on the YOUR REGISTRATION screen, click the ‘Insert the license key’ button.

  6. Right-click inside the text field and select ‘Paste’ from the context menu to insert the license key. Then click ‘OK’. After your registration is complete, an information dialog will be displayed. Just click ‘OK’.

Free Antivirus 5.x can now continue to be used for 12 months and you will continue to receive automatic updates to both the program and your virus definitions.
